The XVI Pirineos Sur music festival of this year will focus on rivers and provide music produced around the most well-known rivers of the world. The cultural diversity and the environment changes will be the base of this new edition of Pirineos Sur, a very important cultural meeting during each Summer in all Europe.
This year the Quebrantahuesos, the largest cyclo sportive event in Spain, has become the safest cycling march in Spain because the number of participants have been limited to 7.500 clyclists and to 1.500 participants for the Treparriscos.
The specific characteristics of Pyrenaen cooking can be summed up in two words: sobriety and ingenuity. Sobriety due to a nature which is not especially generous, as they had to survive with what was grown there; and ingenuity precisely to prepare delicacies with products that are rejected in more fertile areas.
The new Pyrenair Air company from Huesca will offer regular flights from Huesca to the main capitals of Spain. Their commercial travels will begin in March 2007. The main destinations will be offered are Madrid and Barcelona, three days per week at first.
The Spanish school Aula Hispánica is situated in the city of Jaca, in the middle of the Pyrenees, where students have the possibility to do different kind of activities all year round, depending on their interest. In this article we offer a summary of some of these activities.
